Enjoy a gorgeous ride through Historic Hyde Park and Kenwood Neighborhoods. Your guide will take you to all of Obama's favorite Chicago places, stopping to discuss his policies and what effect Chicago had in shaping his ideas.

Highlights include the University of Chicago campus, Museum of Science & Industry, Obama's current residence, his barbershop, and where he still plays basketball in Jackson Park.

Summary:

Tour does not include hotel pick-up. Student rate applies to ages 12 and older. College students must show id. Child rate applies to children under 12. Please order online or call us toll-free at 888-794-8283. There is a $3.95 processing fee per order. This is a flat fee regardless of the number of tickets or tours purchased on an order.
There is a service charge per ticket. This charge will be reflected on your summary before you checkout. The total shown includes any and all taxes, fuel surcharges, and service fees. There are no additional charges.

Cancellation Policy: There are no refunds. All sales are final.

Change Fee Policy: If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center.

Q How long is the tour?
This tour is at a moderate pace, covering 6 mi/10 km in 2 hours.

Q Do I need a bike?
No, we will provide a cool Schwinn Beach Cruiser, along with helmet if you want one. Each bike has its own name and comes equipped with a basket if needed.

Q Is it strenuous?
The pace is moderate, but if you regularly ride a bike, you should have no problem. The tour includes a number stops for the guide to entertain you with stories of Chicago.

Q I'm bringing an infant/very young child. Should I purchase them a ticket?
Children 3 and under are not be charged a full student price. Your small child will, however, be charged $6.95 which goes toward reserving their special equipment. You must include your infants/young children in your order and specify your preference for special equipment (child seats, trailers, tag-a-longs) on the order form.

Q What if it rains?
If it happens to rain during the tour, we'll provide raingear. Tours are only cancelled if it is pouring rain at the tour start time.

Q What can I expect?
Expect to have fun! Chicago has been given the title of "best bicycling city in North America" by Bicycle Magazine. You'll have the chance to learn about Chicago's fascinating history while meeting other fun travelers. You'll cover more ground then a walking tour, and feel the pulse of the city.

Q Should I tip the guide on the bike tour?
If you enjoyed yourself more then you anticipated, then tip -- the guide will be happy to be recognized in this manner.
